girl-friend moment #3 - grandma

journal page featuring grandma "Hue"

she taught me to be fearless

journal pages of donna "Hue"
here's a shout out to one of my girl-friends - grandma donna "Hue".  donna donahue was a fearless, passionate woman who would tackle any task at least once.  i will never forget her on a bunny hill at kelly's canyon with skis that were way too long, holding on to the rope tow and trying to make it to the top of the hill so she could ski down.
she instilled in me a love for crafting, embroidery, sewing, flower arranging, antiquing, and new adventure.  she was an example of a woman who prayed and believed that God could and would do anything.
i lost my grandmother long before she died when alzheimer's took her memories as well as her ability  to reason and communicate. alzheimer's might have cruelly stolen her memories but she lives on because she shared life with me and all those who were lucky enough to know her.
