do you redeem your regrets?

"learning from regret"
henry david thoreau offers the following about redeeming regret:

"make the most of your regrets; never smother your sorrow, but tend and cherish it till it comes to have a separate and integral interest.  to regret deeply is to live afresh."

quoted from the book in a pit with a lion on a snowy day:

"if you're anything like me, your jigsaw puzzle has some missing pieces.  you have some inaction (i am adding-you also have action) regrets.  so what do you do with them?  you can wallow in self-pity.  you can beat yourself up.  you can drown in a pool of regret.  or you can channel those regrets into a more courageous approach to life.  you can resolve to chase the lion you ran away from last time."

put simply - redeem your regrets and use that knowledge to live a more productive, creative and inspired life.
